Quest for Natural Father.

Today, I read in one of the Sunday mags about a lady who "found" her natural mother. Her mother lives in the USA. Lucky lady, she has met her mother. I am pleased for her.
My father lived there too. I am going to ask now, if anyone who may read this Blog, lives in Pleasanton, California? I must tell you, my natural father DID not live there. Not to my knowledge anyway. Not far away though from what I can work out. Reading this lady's story has fired me up again. I want to talk to my half brother. I need answers. Suppose I will never get them though.

Well, found another number the other night for my half-brother. I got an answer machine again. Tried again tonight and a lady answered.
Now, believe it or not, I daren't say anything, no, nothing at all! Coward or what? Is it because I don't want to be disappointed again? Is it because I don't know what to say if it is his home? I mean, what can they do? They are miles away. They can only tell me to "go away," or words to that effect. I can give as much as I can take. So, what on earth is stopping me talking?
I dunno.
Maybe it isn't him. Sounds more like him than the chap I rung the other time though. The name is exactly the same as my half brothers.
If you are at all interested in my ramblings, I will keep you updated.

Found a phone number for the chap I think is my half-brother the other day. The old number won't work. Just get a message saying that I may have the weong number, (which I haven't.) or the phone has been disconnected.

Found the new number as it seems he has moved. Rang last night, answer machine. I hate those things. Will try again and let you know if it's the same fella and how I get on. So up to now, my search continues. 

If you are looking for your birth mother or father, the Internet could be your friend. There are a few free search sites out there! Mums, looking for their adopted children also brothers and sisters that have found out that they have siblings they had never known about. You can pop your name in and see if anyone is looking for YOU.

Getting information from aunts and uncles could be useful. Maybe, more so now as things aren’t as “hidden” as they once were.

As I have mentioned before, these messages can be heartbreaking. All we want is answers, so why can’t we get them????? I will look for some good and free sites and publish them on here. You never know, it could help.

I would like to say, even if you do find someone, this does not necessarily mean a happy ending I am so sorry to say.
