Me Again!

On Saint David's Day, (Patron Saint of Wales,) I will be 62. I wonder if it is really potty of me to carry on with my, so called search?
I was born in Wales so I feel a kind of infinity with it, so Happy St. David's Day to all the people in Wales.  Wednesday, 1st March.

Ok, only spent about 6 weeks there after I was born, but my birth certificate is in English and Welsh.

A few years ago now, my sister took me to Merthyr Tidfil where I was born. What a lovely day we had. I had never been there before, (not counting my first weeks on this earth.) The people were lovely and really helpful. I always wanted to go and see what it was like.

We saw the place where I was born. Took pictures. Sadly, I cannot find them. They have either been thrown out by mistake or they are WELL hidden in the house.

The history of St. Tidfil's was really amazing. Seems the ward I would have been born on is now the doctors' quarters.

We met a lovely lady, she showed us pictures of long ago. One photo was of the Midwives that worked there in 1944. Maybe one delivered me! Not often you can find these things out is it?
Thank you Anne and John.

Hey, it worked!

Oh happy day, well night really! I lost my password. Just got it back. One I can remember this time.

Nothin' happened about my "lost" family. Not a word. I am sure they have cut me out of their will! Hee hee. Not that I want anything like that from them. A few pics, a bit of my father's history would have been quite nice. A few letters and phone calls.

I don't even wish to meet my half brother. As I have said before, he sounded a really nice bloke. He said he would write. But that must have been a few years ago now. So, not much hope is there? OK, got my time zone wrong, it was 5 am when I rang him. He said it didn't matter, he wasn't in bed. Possibly had to get up to answer the phone eh? I did apologise though. Don't know whether I would have been so pleasant at that time of the morning.

Hope that you are having better luck than me! Take care.
