Quest for Natural Father.

I have written to the USA asking, nay, begging for the gen on my natural father. I don't think it will do any good at all. So anyone out there can give me advice on whether to actually put the thing in an envelope and send it? What shall I do????

I have decided, I am going to ask anyone, anywhere if their mother was in the WAAF during WW2. If so, do they remember Morecambe, Lancashire? Indeed, did they know any WAAFs that actually came from Morecambe.

Now I will ask, did anyone know anyone who had a baby in 1944 in Merthyr Tidfil? (Not the local ladies.) The very beginning of March, actually St David's Day. That was the day I was born. I am proud of that.

Any help, however small would be lovely. I know the Waafs will be getting on in age now but a lot have good memories! I have a name of my mother's best friend, but reluctant to publish it.

Is there anyone reading this with the same type of problem? Any 60+ year old people looking for fathers that did a bunk after the second world war? Younger people looking for their roots? Anyone that could, maybe help us? Point us in the right direction please.

Has anyone found who they were looking for? What was the outcome? Good, bad or indifferent?  I have read things that make me feel that the search is worth doing, also read about the ones that wasn't.

Please feel free to write to me, it may help you to talk about it. I have kept my parentage private, only close family know about it. They all agree that the photo of me and my "father," shows he was indeed my father! Coincidence? Don't think so. I know this isn't private although I have kept names and places a secret. I have explained before, the name is unusual, but it wouldn't be right for me to "broadcast" it. Even if we are miles apart. Trust me, I would love to name and shame at times! lol But I won't.

Another year is going by, I am still getting nowhere at all. Everyone say Ahhh, shame. lol Ok, no need really, this is my problem, not yours is it? Just unfortunate that you are reading it! Maybe you hoped it would help you find your natural parent. Sorry, it won't do. Maybe the Ads would help you.

All I can do is hope. Where would we all be without hope? I dunno.
